I'm leaving everybody...I couldn't handle this AND the other zillion message boards I post on. Everybody was very nice to me, and I really appreciate that.

I saw your comment about STAND BY ME. I sing that song on stage a lot and it always cracks me up when the drummer, after I finish, turns to me and says"I love that movie!" He does it everytime!

I hereby pledge and affirm that I shall refrain from any and all monkeying around, that term including all rapscallion-esque behavior.

I see Paco is "monkeying" around on your wall, Sarah! Gotta watch out for him!

Yeah, I love Natalie... she looked beautiful in Marjorie Morningstar.

Rebel is a sentimental favourite of mine (aside from my just loving the movie) as it was filmed down a few houses from where my mother was living (and where I later briefly lived) at the time. Love the Griffith Park Observatory scenes as well!

I also just noticed you like 80's teen movies - me too! (Unfortunately, I remember them the first time around LOL!)

"Cinema Slendor" is quite good, by the way. I love the layout and content.

I knew it was Natalie Wood. Thank god you don't look like her. Her life was a living he, but for a few safe havens, because of those looks.

My question, better articulated, is do you have a like totally fifties / early sixties hair style, the would be totally awesome, but you probably don't, and It ain't none of my business.

I did that intentionally, since you flagged french as a language you spoke (Mme.), I ran hard toward my tidbits of italian from my college days.

Affairs of the Heart: The Wedding Night (1935)

To view The Wedding Night click here. The Wedding Night was doomed from the start. It was producer Samuel Goldwyn’s final attempt at making the Ukrainian actress Anna Sten into a Garbo-level star, and his persistence had become something of a Hollywood joke. The Wedding Night became known around town as “Goldwyn’s Last Sten,” but […]

Murnau and the Phantoms of Germany

To view Phantom click here. It’s that time of year when Nosferatu (1922), F.W. Murnau’s interpretation of Dracula, appears on lists of recommended horror films. The oldest, existing film version of Bram Stoker’s novel, Nosferatu is likely Murnau’s most watched title. It’s eerie Expressionist style was a major influence on the American horror genre, but […]
