Webb was one of Hollywood's most unlikely star.

Making his sound film debut when he was into his 50s, he starred in such films as LAURA, THE RAZOR'S EDGE, SITTING PRETTY, CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN,  STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER, and THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN.
