There are many DVD's of this beautiful film on the market with some pretty dire transfers, the Blu-ray edition of Thief Of Bagdad is excellent, the sound is great and the Technicolor visually stunning as it was back in 1940. If you don't have this edition I recommend it you wont be dissapointed.…Continue

With the Christmas Season getting ever closer, Kiss Me Kate (1953) 3D might be a nice surprise in a christmas stocking. The 3D is fabulous, the 5.1 sound is brilliant and with all those numbers we know so well Too Darn Hot, Wunderbar, So In Love, From This Moment On etc this is a must have, the only musical as far as I know produced in proper 3D. hands up those who singalong with Kathryn Grayson and Howard Keel on Wunderbar :)…Continue

Available from The Serial Squadron.com the tinting in this serial is the best I've ever seen especially the localised colours, the sets are excellent, and according to the DVD the earliest appearance of Boris Karloff in a starring role that exists today.
