Rudy - Well, one thing I can recommend is that you fix the links to your pictures. Most of them do not load. If you see them it may be because they are in your cache and it would need to be cleaned out but I get nothing.

Hello Rudy,

Thank you for the link to your Connie Marshall website... I see you have indeed provided a lot of information, articles and photos, etc. dedicated to Connie... you have quite the collection!

Yes, I am a Betty Grable fan, her sweetness and warmth always shines through as much as her beauty. I actually discovered Connie in Mother Wore Tights... I love most of Betty's films, and own just about all.

A Happy Thanksgiving to you as well...

Hi Rudy - I just love your stars. Jeanne Crain was
so beautiful - and very under-rated - you don't
often hear of her. She did it all - was a top star,
managed to stay married to an Errol Flynn look
a like and have lots of children.
Two child stars from the 40s that I like very much
are Ann Carter and Sharyn Moffet. Sharyn didn't
appear in many films but she certainly acted her
little heart out in them. I saw "Child of Divorce" one
night and was amazed at the range of her acting

Always great to find someone who enjoys the works of Lloyd Bacon, a truly underrated director, and one whose name I should put on my own page. Welcome!

I'm sorry Rudy but I think one Connie Marshall group is more than enough for this site so I deleted your Connie Marshall Forum Group. Feel free to join the Connie Marshall group started by Malcolm some time back.

And welcome to the Golden Age of Hollywood!

Affairs of the Heart: The Wedding Night (1935)

To view The Wedding Night click here. The Wedding Night was doomed from the start. It was producer Samuel Goldwyn’s final attempt at making the Ukrainian actress Anna Sten into a Garbo-level star, and his persistence had become something of a Hollywood joke. The Wedding Night became known around town as “Goldwyn’s Last Sten,” but […]

Murnau and the Phantoms of Germany

To view Phantom click here. It’s that time of year when Nosferatu (1922), F.W. Murnau’s interpretation of Dracula, appears on lists of recommended horror films. The oldest, existing film version of Bram Stoker’s novel, Nosferatu is likely Murnau’s most watched title. It’s eerie Expressionist style was a major influence on the American horror genre, but […]
