About Me: Tell us about yourself/or your love for classic movies
I'm an emotionally disturbed classic film devotee and bon vivant. I like to drink alcohol and smoke long feminine cigarettes, prefer red wine and Virginia Slims. I fall in love with every leading man in classic films, and I have the greatest boyfriend in the world who lives with me despite of it.

I hope you don't mind my contacting you. Fan Classic Movies suggested you as a resource, given your Nordic heritage and interests. My biography on Karl Dane, the Danish comic actor from 1925's"The Big Parade" is being published by McFarland shortly. Would you possibly be interested in reading it and writing a review for GAOH? My publisher, of course, would supply you with the book for free.

Below is a link to the book on McFarland's website so you can check it out, and see if it would be of any interest.
>> The book will probably be available in September since it goes to print
>> in a couple of weeks.
Please let me know your thoughts. I understand that this would be a time commitment for you so any help would be greatly appreciated.
>> P.S. Here is also a link to my own website dedicated to Karl Dane:

Re: MECHANICAL MAN / HEADLESS HORSEMAN, if you really want it, I can probably get it to you for much less (as in almost nothing) than if you buy it on-line. I happen to have it myself...

All your colorized photos are fantastic! I have gotten allot of people interested in colorizing over the past year or so. What program do you use on these?

Lolita, i think they may have been talking about John Gilbert. There is no known recording of Rudy actually speaking, but just the 2 songs of him singing. Yes, that link you gave is to the video i made and uploaded. He sounds very masculine, and so i was very pleased. ;) But, he does have a thick accent which is why i put up the lyrics.

Affairs of the Heart: The Wedding Night (1935)

To view The Wedding Night click here. The Wedding Night was doomed from the start. It was producer Samuel Goldwyn’s final attempt at making the Ukrainian actress Anna Sten into a Garbo-level star, and his persistence had become something of a Hollywood joke. The Wedding Night became known around town as “Goldwyn’s Last Sten,” but […]

Murnau and the Phantoms of Germany

To view Phantom click here. It’s that time of year when Nosferatu (1922), F.W. Murnau’s interpretation of Dracula, appears on lists of recommended horror films. The oldest, existing film version of Bram Stoker’s novel, Nosferatu is likely Murnau’s most watched title. It’s eerie Expressionist style was a major influence on the American horror genre, but […]
