The one he is most remembered for is "Safety Last" where he dangles from the hands of a giant clock. Harold didn't stop there, he went on to pursue many hobbies and to… Continue

A friend who knew I'd be interested sent the link to me. I think they may be from LIFE magazine's archives. One would like to see the issue they appeared in, assuming they were actually used...

What are your favorite movies?
Classic movies. From the 10's-60's. Then after that things get a bit hairy. :P
So I like anything from silent drama/comedy to pre-codes of the 30's to Universal Monster movies, gangster films, Hammer Horror ect. The list goes on and on but that might give you a better idea of what type of movies are ones I like.
Who are your favorite stars?
Some of my fav silent film stars, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Lon Chaney, Mary Pickford, ect.

Some of my fav talkie actors James Cagney, Bogart & Becall, Abbott and Costello, Three Stooges, Jerry Lewis ect.

Really to many to name! hahaha
About Me: Tell us about yourself/or your love for classic movies
I've been an independent filmmaker going on 15 years and this is what I want to do with the rest of my life. I've met a lot of great people through the world of film and I've been lucky to make the movies I've made so far. Check out my site for some of the films I've made thus far. :)

Also in 2009 I co-organized(with Nikki McKim) the first Harold Lloyd Birthday Bash in his hometown of Burchard, NE. For all updates on the Birthday Bash, check out the page at http://haroldlloyd.ning.com/

I love classic films and vintage things of all sort. I like spending time with my family and friends but I also like the quite times when I can write/read. I love being creative! I also have a radio program over at http://blogtalkradio.com/DCR that's about classic films. :)
It airs Thursdays at 11pm EST.

Affairs of the Heart: The Wedding Night (1935)

To view The Wedding Night click here. The Wedding Night was doomed from the start. It was producer Samuel Goldwyn’s final attempt at making the Ukrainian actress Anna Sten into a Garbo-level star, and his persistence had become something of a Hollywood joke. The Wedding Night became known around town as “Goldwyn’s Last Sten,” but […]

Murnau and the Phantoms of Germany

To view Phantom click here. It’s that time of year when Nosferatu (1922), F.W. Murnau’s interpretation of Dracula, appears on lists of recommended horror films. The oldest, existing film version of Bram Stoker’s novel, Nosferatu is likely Murnau’s most watched title. It’s eerie Expressionist style was a major influence on the American horror genre, but […]
