I love this, too, Karen! It's wonderful. I loved Tony Randall in it, but I think my favorite scene was that steamy one where Barbara Eden is being seduced by the god Pan.
10. Circus Fever (1925) -Hal Roach "Our Gang" two reel comedy silent starring the Little Rascals.
The gang feign illness to avoid school to be able to go to the visiting circus. Inevitably their plan backfires...
Sounds like fun. Hey did you hear John? That Kevin put the donate button up there on the main page and $280 was contributed just like that (*snaps fingers). Kevin hasn't confirmed the green light for another year, but with $280 reached in donations, I think task done ! So I will be so happy to continue to see you and Rosie here at the game. Have you spoken to Miss Rosie lately. She's been a bit scarce. She must be very busy with work and things.
Also, special mention and remembering Jim Kearney who used to be one of the main stays of The Game. It was his birthday two days ago. Gone but not forgotten.
Hi, folks! I haven't been busy with work as much as I have been with my son, who is visiting for his summer vacation. So busy, in fact, that I forgot to go to Jim's FB page on his birthday, but I've been there since. It's still there. I'm so glad that these little Internet repositories of Jim's creative output still exist.
John, I might know the site you spoke of. It might be the one I was on that I was recruited from. I think that Classic Movie Man was involved with both that site and the creation of this one, but Kevin would know all the history of that.
11. Lili - A young girl gets a job with a carnival when it is noticed that people enjoy watching her talk with the puppets in the puppet show. The addition of a live human being (and a very lovely one) into the act makes them a success. She falls in love with a married man in the circus, who uses her, not realizing until the end that it is the shy puppeteer who loves her and who has been speaking to her through his puppets.
12. Charlie Chan at the Circus (1936)- starring Warner Oland as the famous Oriental detective and his overzealous eldest no.1 son Lee played by Keye Luke.
Charlie Chan, his wife and his twelve children spend a well earned visit to the travelling circus, Unbeknown to him, Chan becomes embroiled in a murder investigation.
Charlie Chan is known for his wise sayings, Here is one of his best!
"Mind like parachute, only function when open".
